In 2007, the Mutual of Omaha family of companies provided nearly $2.9 billion in benefits to its policyholders and beneficiaries. United of Omaha Life Insurance Company issued $30.1 billion of life insurance coverage during 2007 and had nearly $173.9 billion of life insurance in force on December 31, 2007.
United of Omaha is currently rated A+ (Superior) by A.M. Best affirmed April 2009. That is the second highest of 16 rating levels. A.M. Best is an independent rating firm that grades insurance companies on their overall financial strength and ability to meet ongoing obligations to customers.
